Bridal Bouquet: Armed and Ready

Chances are, you’ll be baring your arms and shoulders on your wedding day, and you’ll want them to look Madonna-fabulous. Here are a few exercises, courtesy of Cynthia Conde, a Gold’s Gym fitness director and author of Bridal Bootcamp (Running Press, 2004), to get you building great guns.

Chair dips: Hold onto the front edge of a chair, supporting your body with your legs extended. Bend elbows and slowly lower your upper body. Reverse the move until your arms are fully extended.

Dumbbell curls: Simultaneously with both arms, slowly raise and lower a pair of five- to 10-pound dumbbells toward your chest while standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, navel inward.

Side lateral raises: Simultaneously with both arms, raise five-pound weights out to your sides to shoulder height, keeping elbows slightly bent, with feet shoulder-width apart.

Push-ups: You know the drill. This exercise will help tone your chest, shoulders, biceps and triceps.
