G Philly Projection: Office of LGBT Affairs is Now Permanent

G Philly is projecting that ballot question No. 1, which asked if the Office of LGBT Affairs should be made a permanent position, was approved by voters during today’s election.

As of 9:43 PM, with 88.61% of precincts reporting, the measure received 57.07% “Yes” votes to 42.93% “No” votes.

This amendment to the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter has made permanent the Office of LGBT Affairs, currently manned by Nellie Fitzpatrick.
