Change is in the Air at G Philly

Same look, scrumptious new taste.

Welcome to the new and even-more-fabulous G Philly! The year 2013 brings some exciting changes to this blog and subsequent print issues, the first of which is little ol’ me. The talented and oh-so-lovely Natalie Hope McDonald has passed me the proverbial torch and, girlfriends, that thing is flaming like it never has before.

I’ve been writing about the LGBTQ scene in Philly for a little over three years at Philadelphia City Paper, but the time has come for me to move on to different, even-gayer horizons. I’m thrilled to be here, where I’ll be updating this blog every day with info that I hope will both stimulate your mind and, occasionally, give you tingles in your naughty parts. Don’t worry, it’ll be the good kind of tingle.

Feel free to follow all my updates on Twitter and Facebook, and for goodness sake send me some tips every now and then to jmiddleton@phillymag.com. I’m constantly on the lookout for story ideas, gossipy tidbits and queer-centric events.

So enjoy your first Friday of the new year. I’ll be posting more throughout the day — including a weekend event roundup — and I think I’m going to kickstart a G Philly Instagram account. Details to come!
