Suburban Snacks: South Jersey Gets a Krispy Kreme


Krispy Kreme’s location on Haddon Avenue in Collingswood is getting close, like opening in August close. Next up for the doughnut chain, Bensalem.

Dinner and a movie comes under the same roof in Collegeville as Movie Tavern opens in the Providence Town Center. The concept offers casual fare like burgers, cheese plates, paninis and quesadillas as well as alcoholic drinks. Grand opening is set for this Saturday [Philadelphia Inquirer]

Respected area brewer Scott Morrison (four medals at the Great American Beer Festival) has been busy if brewery-less since leaving Mckenzies way back in 2006. Since then he has been spotted at Dock Street Brewery, Sly Fox among other area breweries. He’s now settling partnering with Al Kominski of  Al’s of Hampden (near Harrisburg) where the pair are partnering in what will be known as Pizza Boy Brewing.
