Girls Like Horror
Horror was long considered a guy’s genre, but that idea is as outdated as the zoetrope. Center City filmmaker Christina Acevedo knows this, so she launched this rapidly growing film club designed for women who like a little (or lots of) gore with their popcorn. On August 29th, get to the ultra-retro Hiway Theater in Jenkintown for a 35mm screening of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. (Don’t worry, gents: You’re allowed in too.)
