Prepare to become a human rainbow.

The Color Run returns to Philly this summer for the fifth time with a brand-new tropical theme, a new venue, and (like I even have to say it) plenty of stains.

For those of you who have recently left your residence from under a rock, this popular 5K’s racecourse is designed to leave you looking like a human rainbow. At each kilometer, runners are doused with multi-colored paint powder. At the finish line, there’s a giant party with dancing, music and (prepare to be shocked) more paint. Word of advice: leave your favorite white sneakers at home.

So, when’s this all happening? The date for this year’s Color Run is June 12th, and this time around, the run will be taking over Citizens Bank Park. This year’s new tropical theme brings with it the “Tropicolor Zone,” an area filled with, well, everything tropical, like inflatable palms trees, and a “Rainbow Beach” at the finish, which comes complete with sand and beach chairs.

Registration is open now. The whole shebang will run you between $35 and $55, and if you’re a Phillies fan (or, you know, just a fan of saving some cash) you can use the promo code “PHILLIES” (good through race day) at checkout for a $5 discount. You can find more info and register here.
