Awesome: Find a Fresh Running Route With This New Local Resource

Sick and tired of running the same old routes? We've got just the thing.

It’s easy to fall into a running rut: You’ve got a tried-and-true route that you run day in and day out, and you soon you find yourself searching for excuses to skip your runs, just to avoid the endless monotony. Don’t worry — we’ve all been there.

Lucky for you, our pals at the ODDyssey Half Marathon launched a helpful new feature on their blog last week appropriately slugged the “Random Running Route of the Week.” It is exactly what it sounds like: a fresh running route each and every week — maps and all — to save you from yet another trek along the Schuylkill River Trail.

Each route totals about five miles, with options to shorten or lengthen the distance depending on your training needs. They kicked off the series last week with a run along the Delaware River Waterfront; this week’s run takes you on a tour of University City.

The running routes are posted every Monday on the ODDyssey Half Marathon’s website. They’re also added to MapMyRun for your convenience.
