To Do: Extreme Zombie Run 5K in Bucks County

Get ready to run for your life.

If you’re a slow runner like me, you understand when I say that it takes more than an upbeat song to get me running fast. Traditional motivation, like running partners or trainers, just aren’t going to cut it. But here’s one thing that certainly will: being hunted down by the living dead. Thank you, adrenaline.

The Extreme Zombie Run 5K dares runners to trek through a foggy 6,000-square-foot zombie maze, complete with blood slides and mud crawls through a real haunted house attraction set in the woods. Participants also have the option of transforming into a zombie for the day, courtesy of the insanely good professional makeup artists on hand. After the race, everyone has a chance to party like it’s the end of the world with live music, food and beer. Not bad for a zombie apocalypse. Sign up here.

$50 to $70, September 13th at 8:30 a.m., Phoenix Sports Club, 301 West Bristol Road, Feasterville.
