Proust’d: Dumpsta Players Founder Ricky Paul

Tomorrow night, the Dumpsta Players (DP) will etch another notch onto their performance belt with Honey Poo-Poo’s Chick-Fill-A Fashion Show, a vulgar, gender-bending romp that concerns Honey Poo Poo and Mama Poon (I’ll let you make the parallels) as they take part in Kim Kartrashian’s fundraiser to help “sick babies and puppies without borders.” Per usual, it’s going to be sick and absolutely twisted. This week, I sent DP founder Ricky Paul (aka DJ K-Tell) the Proust questionnaire to get a peek into the mind of the godmotherfu*#%er of Philly’s queer-slanted experimental theater scene. Some of the things I discovered? He hates dog poo, adores his eyelashes and don’t be surprised if he tells you to “sashay away” the next time you see him. Here’s more:

Do a split. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement? Vogueing at Raven’s Wedding. If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be? Honey Poo Poo’s Chick-Fill-A Fashion Show takes place tomorrow, Feb. 20 at 11 p.m. at Bob and Barbara’s (1509 South St.) Tickets are $1.99 at the door and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Attic Youth Center.
