Apparently the Gallery is Getting a Much-Needed Makeover
What's in store for the lackluster mall.
Following word that a new Century 21 is opening in October, the block between Market and Filbert just got hit with even bigger news: Macerich Co. is investing $106.8 million to redevelop the Gallery. Cue cheers!
The Inquirer reports that the company intends to offer “accessible luxury retailing” and plans to create “a one-of-a-kind, premier center.” No word yet on what exactly that entails, and we’re still doubtful that the Gallery will ever be a luxury fashion destination, but fingers crossed!
