A word of advice to those trying to get editors to read press releases (shopping editors get a ton of press releases): Don’t use all caps in your subject line. Don’t even worry about marking your email high priority. Just make sure these three words are in the subject line: “secret”, “pop-up”, “sale.” *
That’s exactly what caught our eye this morning as we did our early-Monday email check. The email was from Per Lei, and it was an invite to an “exclusive pop-up sale.” I say, screw exclusivity! Shopping for all! So here are the details:
The sale is only from 4pm to 8pm at the boutique's Media location. You'll get 30 percent off every single thing in the store (nope, no exclusions, and yes, this even means new spring merchandise). See you there?
*Note: This actually doesn't always work, especially if you're sending an email to a non-shopping editor. But really, please don't mark emails high-priority. It scares me.
