Profile

This newcomer gives Bella Vista residents a cozy place to hang out for breakfast, lunch and brunch. Grab a seat at a table or by the fireplace and definitely start your meal with a French Press. Brunch options include an all-natural, made-locally bagel schmeared with lox, cream cheese and capers or a quesadilla layered with turkey, caramelized apple and brie; lunch means pressed Italian sandwiches with chicken and pesto. The back, to-go craft beer section is worth the trip alone.

The food is good, just a bit hard to find service at times.

I have never been to Hawthornes but I hope to get there soon. And the 1st review will have no effect on my going there. I have a hard time believing any of this rant ever happened. Sorry, I think it's from someone with an agenda and I'm calling them out.

we tried this place late one sat afternoon- i ordered an entree- the main component of which was apparently out of stock in their kitchen- the waitress never told me and served me basically pita- they agreed to make me something else- after my husband had to go locate the waitress and inform her of the error- then after he completely finished his meal- i finally received mine- totally covered in sour cream- the item did not list sour cream as a component on the menu and was clearly made in error- again no waitstaff to be found. when the waitress finally returned she informed me we would have to pay for the sour cream laden disaster- it was just awful- totally terrible service, i never got to eat anything- no one apologized- the manager told me my husband in total sarcasm he "was glad he enjoyed his meal" after i complained about mine. the people who run this place have no idea what good service is so it doesnt matter how the food is. i would strongly discourage anyone from going there unless they re-staff the whole place.
