I bought a groupon for Charlottes and used it last night. We won't go ever again. We spoke with the owner when we arrived and told him we were using a groupon. My husband and I each ordered their most expensive entrees (29.00 each) and a bottle of wine. Thursday nights are 1/2 price bottles of wine. When our check came, the waiter said he couldn't honor the wine special because we were using a groupon. The groupon clearly stated "good for food only." If alcohol was not included, why couldn't we get the 1/2 price wine. But, the worst part of the evening was the owner calling us "cheap" after we both had their most expensive entrees. If he didn't want to participate with groupon, he should never have agreed to it. As a business owner, you certainly don't call your patrons "cheap" after they purchase a groupon you agreed to participate in. I believe the whole reason you do that is to bring in new customers. Well he brought us in, called us cheap, and wouldn't honor his wine special. Needless to say, we won't every go back and will be happy to let everyone we know how bad customers are treated.
