Campaign Manager Who Beat Eric Cantor Deletes His Facebook Page

Zachary Werrell scrubbed his profile political of rants after his candidate, Dave Brat, upset House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

zachary-werrell-eric-cantor--940x540 Haverford College graduate Zachary Werrell, who was the campaign manager in David Brat’s stunning upset of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, was one of a thousand anonymous, young campaign staffers that dot the country. But when his candidate pulled off one of the biggest shockers in major U.S. election history, people started poking around. And now he’s scrubbed his Facebook page. Werrell’s political Facebook rants, which were removed overnight following Brat’s big win, basically read like any of the other thousand political rants that litter everyone’s Facebook feed. Only Werrell isn’t someone you went to kindergarden with who’s a property manager, he’s the campaign manager for a likely future congressman. Here’s an example:

Should sections of States be allowed to secede from a State if they feel they are un/underrepresented in the State Government? I say yes. I derive that opinion from our first foundational document – the Declaration of Independence. What say you?

I really hope the first comment on that was just “What?” He also ranted about abortion after the George Zimmerman acquittal — sure, why not? — and called for the end of prescription drug regulation. (Accutane for all!) His Facebook profile also listed his occupation as RINO [Republican in Name Only] Hunter since 1991 (the year of his birth). Additionally, he linked to an article on Lew Rockwell’s blog and agreed that there is a “war on boys.” Werrell’s blog is now in maintenance mode. [Yahoo! | Gawker]

In what way is the example you cite a “rant?” He provides an opinion and then asks for others to do the same.

Wow this kid is certifiably nuts or entirely immature. Little too late to scrub away all your anarchist and overthrow the president and creationism and teabagger hate-filled comments. Ha if he thought his views and opinions on social media were reasonable even arguably rational why delete them all in haste …what a coward.. Too funny. Stand by your opinions. What an amateur.
