WATCH: Cory J. Popp’s Gorgeous “A Very Philly Christmas”

Philadelphia’s real pretty around the holidays.

The above video, “A Very Philly Christmas,” was shot by Cory J. Popp and captures just how darn gorgeous this city can be around the holidays.

"I wanted to make a holiday video to capture the spirit of the city at this time of year because it's always so beautiful, and it goes by too fast," explains Popp. "While I was filming in Rittenhouse, I looked around and saw other people photographing a lot of the same things with their smart phones. I decided to ditch my plan, and just capture the things people around me were photographing because those are the things most dear and important to them."

I've been keeping a mental tab of the scenes in the video, many of which are from my South Philly neighborhood near Passyunk Avenue. Makes me want to organize my neighbors to string Christmas lights over our street, too.

We find the below stills just as stunning. Enjoy.

Thanks,,,, Loved the Photograph’s and loved working downtown – how the entire City lit up at Christmas time . (Really looked forward to the Blue Lights above the old Inquirer Building that used to be in the form of a Christmas Tree.
