NFL Draft: Birds Take Lane Johnson and May Still Get QB Geno Smith

It’s a good thing the Eagles picked fourth last night, because the NFL draft takes forever. And the pick, of course, was Oklahoma Offensive Tackle Lane Johnson. But if you’ve got the stamina for Round Two, West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith, beloved by some, hated by others, is still on the board and the Eagles have a good chance to land him (if they want). The Birds have the third pick this round (35th overall), meaning only San Francisco (which doesn’t need a QB) and Jacksonville pick ahead of them. [Birds 24/7]
