Of 22 Philly Bank Robberies This Year, Just One Was Committed Using a Gun

According to a (paywalled) piece in the Philadelphia Business Journal, 21 bank robberies have been committed in Philadelphia this year. But that’s not the real story. The real story is that as of Friday morning, not one of them involved a gun. Just think: You too, living in a city with strict gun control laws, could rob a bank! PBJ, unfortunately jinxed the trend, when a gunman shot through the glass security door of an Abington TD Bank branch the very next day. Still–22 robberies, 1 gun! Reading this, tellers? It’s time to call their bluff! [Biz Journals]
