Widow, Workers File Suit Over Revel Lightning Death

Seven months ago a storm hit Atlantic City as construction crews were working to build the town’s newest newest casino. Workers recall fearing for their safety as they worked with concrete to help build Revel. As the lightning moved closer to their position, some workers decided to seek shelter regardless of what they’d been told by their superiors. It turns out they were late in making that decision as lightning struck a crane, killing one worker and shocking two others. The man’s widow and the two injured workers have filed lawsuits against Tishman Construction Corp. of New York and Network Construction Co. of Pleasantville, N.J. [Claims Journal]
