Di Bruno Bros. Bottle Shop Opens Today

With Di Bruno Bros. cheesy expertise, this is no ordinary beer store.

Now grandly open, the Di Bruno Bros. Bottle Shop at the Franklin.

Di Bruno Bros. celebrates the grand opening of its Bottle Shop at the Franklin today. The beer store within the Di Bruno Bros. store at 9th and Sansom offers more than the typical bottle shop thanks to cheese pairings created by Di Bruno’s cheese experts and the chance to enjoy a beer along with “the holy grail of meat,” four slices of Jamon Iberico de Bellota.

Curated and run by triple-certified Jeffrey Dimaio, the bottle shop is a chance for Di Bruno Bros. to show off their extensive knowledge in a new way. Dimaio is a sommelier, cicerone (beer sommelier) and certified cheese professional. Di Bruno has the second most certified cheese pros in the country, only trailing Whole Foods. At the Bottle Shop, Dimaio gets to show how well beer and cheese can pair.

The Temple of Awesomeness and Delight is just that.

The Bottle Shop at the Franklin offers beer by the bottle and can for takeout or eat-in. Four drafts are also available for dining in or to go via a growler. Customers can also order a cheese flight of the day that marries a beer flight of each of the draft beers with four cheesemonger selected cheeses. The Bottle Shop has its own seating area and menu. In addition to the cheese flight of the day, there are also charcuterie boards, snacks like truffle popcorn, mixed olives and a Spanish nut mix. For $30, guests can order the “Temple of Awesomeness and Delight”—an ode to Anthony Bourdain’s praise for Di Bruno Bros. The three-story, slate tiered tower offers some of Di Bruno’s best cheeses, cured meats and accoutrements.  Though designed to be shared with three-to-four people, we’re confident many will attack it solo.

If you’re looking to take you beer and cheese party to go, a grab-and-go case smartly offers ready-made cheese plates that are designed to go with hoppy, malty or session beers.

Di Bruno’s bottle shop celebrates its grand opening this evening with a special tapping of a collaboration beer they brewed with Dock Street Brewery. It is a Truffle Honey Saison brewed with Di Bruno’s popular condiment. The cask will be tapped at 5 p.m.

The Bottle Shop will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
