Eagles Are Gruden’s Super Bowl Pick

Jon Gruden believes in the Eagles.

The ESPN analyst appeared on a SportsCenter segment Sunday morning and offered predictions for every NFC East team. He was asked if he thought the Eagles would win more or less than 11 games this season.

“This is the Eagles’ year,” Gruden said. “They’re going to win more than 11, and they’re going deep into the playoffs. They’re my pick to go to the Super Bowl in the NFC. There’s no way they turn the ball over 38 times again. Too good a coach, too good a quarterback. Way too much skill on this team.”

As for the rest of the division, Gruden said the Giants will sneak into the playoffs as a wild-card team. He thinks the Cowboys will be no better than .500. And he’s got the Redskins winning seven games.

The Eagles have two Monday night games this season. They travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints in Week 9 (Nov. 5), and they host the Panthers in Week 12 (Nov. 26).
