City Fitness is having quite the growth spurt.

There’s a new gym coming to 12th and Market Streets, y’all: City Fitness just announced that they’ll be opening a 26,916-square-foot fitness club at East Market, the new mixed-use development taking over the block between 11th and 12th Streets on Market. Which means East Market will feature both a MOM’s Organic Market AND a gym. Oh! AND a new Wawa. And there you have it: Proof dreams do come true.

According to a press release, City Fitness will be the largest retailer involved in the project, taking over the entire second floor of the building’s two-story retail podium. The new location will feature your typical gym equipment along with personal training with Thrive, group exercise, and “premium post-workout recovery services through saunas and HydroMassage beds.” Yes, please. City Fitness marketing director Tom Wingert tells us the East Market location is slated to open in the spring/summer of 2018.

This will be the sixth location for the gym after their Logan Square outpost, a whopping 40,000-square-foot fitness club on JFK Boulevard, opens in September. The gym also recently opened their gorgeous Fishtown location. So yeah, you could say they’re having quite the growth spurt.
