I know, you’ve always wanted to complete a triathlon, right? The only thing holding you back is the little detail that you don’t own a bike. And jumping into a pool of freezing water in mid-October might not be your idea of a fun workout. Well, good news, folks! On October 12th, Bryn Mawr Running Company and Flywheel Sports are teaming up to host an almost triathlon (it doesn’t include the water portion, thank goodness!). And all you need is a pair of running shoes.

The Run Before You Fly Duathlon combines two two-mile runs with a 43-minute spinning class, giving participants a chance to experience a multi-sport event without the usual hefty admission fees and costly equipment. A bonus: The event isn’t timed so, no debilitating performance anxiety!

Due to the limited number of spinning bikes, the event will be capped at the first 47 individuals to RSVP. So, to get your duathlon on, email Emily Rothrock at erothrock@flywheelsports.com and reserve a spot.

$5 entry fee, October 12th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bryn Mawr Running Company, 828 W. lancaster Ave.
