Vedge to Debut Vegan Cronut Tonight

Zagat is reporting that Philly’s very own, Vedge, has dipped its toe in the Cronut pool and now offers an animal-free version of the croissant-doughnut hybrid. And this one’s stuffed with apples.

To wit:

Vedge has created an animal-free version of the dessert, and it will first be offered tonight, September 19. Covered in cinnamon sugar and served with apple-pie stuffing and a pomegranate glaze, there are 15 of these specials available.

Get ’em while they’re hot, kids. Just remember: “Vegan” does not equal healthy. Vedge’s Cronut creation will be a permanent menu fixture starting October 1st.
