But she’s escaped to college, to the Ivy League school of her dreams, where she has moved on from math, her initial major. Recently on Facebook there was a new picture of her standing loud and proud (as she should!) with her mother and sisters. Jane’s a beautiful girl. 

She deserves the chance to move on. Just as Robert Hawkins, who lost his livelihood and his freedom, has gotten what he deserves. In that way, it’s an old, old story.
