In his workshop near Allentown, Jonathan Simons carves cherry-wood into shapely kitchen utensils. It’s his hardworking “lazy” collection we — and Rachael Ray — like best. The spoons, ladles and spootles (that’s somewhere between a spoon and a spatula) are notched to balance neatly on the edges of pots and serving bowls. $24; available at SOTA, 1022 Pine Street, 215-627-8801, or at woodspoon.com. —April White
