Art in the form of a note card — that’s the simplest way to describe the stationery offerings by South Jersey-based Spruce Avenue. The team behind it, both Moore College alums, Melissa Bielecki and Dana Wyatt, met while working at a wallpaper studio in Wayne. Their inspiration — both natural and urban — is drawn locally, as evidenced in the Philly and South Jersey-inspired cityscape designs. (You’ll even see them wandering around the Philadelphia Zoo, where frequent scouting trips yield the cute animals on their quirky notecards.) Bielecki and Wyatt did recently release a digitally printed greetings collection, but the diverse textures and color variations they get from hand silk-screening remain the standout parts of the collection. Shop online at Spruceavenue.com or shop in person at Scarlett Alley and Paper on Pine for cards or personalized notes and invites.
