Philly Schools Will Close Early Tomorrow Due to Heat
The School District of Philadelphia will close all of its schools tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16th, at noon due to the high temperatures in the forecast. It’s the second time in a week that Philly schools have let out early because of a heat warning.
The District announced the early dismissal via Facebook today around 4:30 p.m.:
Tomorrow’s forecast calls for a high of 90, but says that with other factors, it could feel much hotter.
The public can check the district’s website for updates, District’s Information Hotline at 215-400-INFO (4636). The public should also note that schools with a graduation ceremony planned for Tuesday have the option to stay open for the ceremony.
Stay cool, Philly!
