Ethan Allen is Philadelphia’s interior design destination, offering complimentary design service for every project, plus a full range of furnishings, including custom furniture and artisan-crafted accents for any space. About 75% of our products are made in our North American workshops, and we have been recognized for product quality and craftsmanship since 1932. Our designers combine state-of-the-art 3D rendering technology with personal service and refined creative skill to customize a signature look for every client.

What is your typical process for working with a new client?

We’re inspired most by our clients. Every person is unique, and it’s a privilege to be invited into someone’s home. We love connecting with people, discovering what their style is, and helping them get their home where it needs to be to make every member of their family love living there. Ethan Allen offers so many options to choose from, and it’s a joy to let our clients be our guide.

When we design for someone, we usually meet them in the Design Center and walk through rooms staged to represent a variety of lifestyles. We’ll identify the furniture, décor, fabrics, and finishes that the client likes; then, we’ll sit together to explore hundreds of customization options, each unique to the pieces we recommend for the space. Working either from blueprints or from measurements we take when we visit the client’s home, we create custom 3D room plans to help clients visualize everything we choose together—even lighting and rugs, since no room is complete without accents. We manage the entire process from first visit or phone call to delivery day—and at no additional cost!
