Southern Cross Kitchen Opens In Conshy

Southern fusion? Why not. Owners Marianne Gere and Kim Strengari (of Stella Blu and Gypsy Saloon in West Conshohocken) have brought their take on “down-home Southern classics” crossed (get it?) with modern comfort food across the bridge for the new year.

Southern Cross Kitchen opened the doors at 8 East 1st Avenue (in the recently acquired 8 East space) in Conshohocken proper. They’re serving lunch and dinner seven days a week from 11:30am – 11:00pm, offering everything from shrimp and grits and fried chicken to fried pickles, Texas-style hot wings and maple-glazed salmon.
