My Best Bite of the Week


A few weeks ago, PW’s Adam Erace reviewed the P.o.p.e with a focus on Pete Miller’s brunch.

I was glad to see the great menu switch up getting the attention it deserves.

The Passyunk Ave pub is not just a place to see and be seen during Rock Tits on a Wednesday night anymore.

The food is worth mentioning, be it brunch or this delicious vegetable napoleon I had there on Friday afternoon.

Layers of roasted eggplant, onions, spinach and zuchini over a perfect polenta.

It was resting in a housemade marinara which I  swore had a hint of smokiness to it that rounded out the dish nicely.

Best $10 I spent all week. And I didn’t miss the pulled pork at all.
