It isn’t just restaurant openings that has May being absolutely insane. There are also a ton of events to satisfy your hunger and thirst. We detail them all in our calendar but wanted to highlight some of the top ones after the jump.

Thursday, May 1: South Philly Tap Room will have ten Bell’s brews on tap tonight for just $3 per pint.

Saturday, May 3: Flavors of the Avenue will bring food and fun to Passyunk Avenue.

Saturday, May 3: Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival brings fashion, food and family fun to Walnut Street between Broad and 19th Street.

Sunday, May 4: Walk around Chestnut Hill and sample food at the Chestnut Hill Garden Festival.

Sunday, May 4: Sly Fox’s Bock Festival and Goat Race celebrates bock beer and goats in a wonderful fashion.

Monday, May 5: It’s Cinco de Mayo everywhere from El Vez to Cantina Los Caballitos.

Saturday, May 10: More than 200 wines will be featured in the Philadelphia Wine Festival.

Monday, May 12: It’s a Trappist Beer Dinner at Chick’s Cafe.

Thursday, May 15: It’s the kickoff of the Art of Drinking Troegs contest with lots of bars offering Troegs specials and starter art kits.

Thursday, May 15: Drink beer with Sam Adams’ founder, Jim Koch at Monk’s Cafe.

Saturday, May 17: Media and Iron Hill host the Brandywine Craft Beer Festival featuring 25 regional breweries.

Sunday, May 18: It’s a Belgian Bierfeesten at World Cafe Live

Tuesday, May 20: Osteria is hosting a beer dinner with a serious pork slant.
