Main Liners crowd around the Bryn Mawr Farmers Market booth of Mary Rascon, a one-time restaurateur and longtime salon owner. Rascon practices her craft over her great-grandfather’s 130-year-old stock pot, and each week her regulars show up, some for the Italian wedding, others for the Mexican chicken tortilla or the gluten-free and vegan options. (This summer, she’s churning out four different types of gazpacho.) The soup most in demand? Lemon chicken orzo. “Soup is love in a bowl,” Rascon tells her customers, who have prevailed upon her to begin catering services this fall.
