WOOHOO! Why am I so excited, you ask? Well, my friends, here’s why: I’m downright ecstatic about the news that ReAnimator Coffee will be hosting three pop-ups this month at the Sweetgreen in Rittenhouse (1821 Chestnut Street), giving away free coffee to the lunchtime salad-loving crowd. And guess what? The first pop-up date is tomorrow, August 16th!
Green Aisle Grocery is the master of quality over quantity and now we get to meet those behind all the awesome items sold there. Green Aisle’s Meet the Maker series will happen at the Grays Ferry location every Saturday afternoon this fall.
The first of the bunch, tomorrow, Saturday, September 20th, will be ReAnimator Coffee. The Kensington based roaster will be in the shop from noon to 3 p.m.
The series runs through the end of November, other guests include Sip N Glo Juices (a Best of Philly recipient), Soom Foods Tahina, and Mast Bros. Chocolate from Brooklyn.
Special sales on the maker’s products, lots of samples, and time to meet the people producing the foods will be featured.
ReAnimator Coffee is hosting their grand opening at 310 Master Street on Saturday October 11th starting at 3 p.m. The coffee shop is currently open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends, but the grand opening is a great time to tour the new space, a restored elevator factory in the Kensington neighborhood.
The new space serves not only as a ReAnimator cafe, but will also house the green coffee inventory, serve as a training lab for employees and feature a 12 kilo Probat coffee roaster.
The “Cedar Park Embassy” location of Little Baby Ice Cream is now serving ReAnimator Coffee. In addition to single origin and blended hot coffees from ReAnimator they are also offering black and green teas plus a selection of pastries. All of this happens in conjunction with the West Philadelphia location’s new split-day hours.
Everytime we turn around it seems another coffee shop is opening. Local roasters, Green Street Coffee and ReAnimator have both opened flagship cafes recently. We’ve received confirmation on La Colombe’s Fishtown expansion and just about every other block seems to have a coffee shop opening or planned.
ReAnimator’s coffee shop at 1523 E Susquehanna Avenue has been softly opened for more than a week now. But tomorrow, Saturday, August 10th will be the official grand opening party. Their calling it their Forks Crawl and nearby spots like Cedar Point and Loco Pez are doing drink specials. At ReAnimator’s cafe, Little Baby’s Ice Cream and Pizza Brain will be serving up bites. They’ll also be giving out drinks of their Yards ReAnimator Espresso Love Stout while it lasts.
The fun kicks off at 4 p.m. and lasts till your caffeine buzz wears off.
