Marsala: Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year!

How will you use it in your wedding?

Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year

When Pantone, the Official Keeper of All Things Color, announced last year that the 2014 Color of the Year was going to be Radiant Orchid, we predicted that brides—especially spring/summer brides, of course—were probably going to love it. And we think it’s safe to say that we did see quite a bit of the deep purply-pink in the weddings from this past warm-weather season.

Well this time around, with the announcement of the 2015 Color of the Year, we’re thinking the same kind of thing—except with fall/winter brides. Because this time around, the hue that we can expect to wiggle its way into every kind of trend from fashion and beauty to decor is a rich, robust shade of wine: specifically, Marsala.

Luckily for brides, we’re thinking this is a color that will work beautifully when it comes to so many wedding-related things: flowers, invitations—heck, I’m hoping Essie comes out with a nail polish this shade.

Pantone’s website actually has a lot of great inspiration using Marsala—including, most helpfully for brides, some really great color palettes using the shade that would work as a great jumping-off point for you and your florist or design peeps—and we’re betting that in a few weeks’ time, there will be lots of ideas out there for oodles of ways to incorporate the color into your Big Day. (And you can bet we’ll be on it!)

So, 2015 brides, how do you feel about Marsala?
