PW editor Carrie Denny and Say Yes to the Dress star Randy Fenoli.

Roll your eyes though you may at the all-consuming omnipresence that is TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, it’s hard to deny the show’s pull. ‘Fess up: You have at least one episode on your DVR right now, don’t you?

And not just that—but don’t you just a little bit wish Randy could be there when you’re trying on your gown? I speak, of course, about the show (and Kleinfeld’s)’s main dude, Randy Fenoli. (I, for one, got right in line to meet him with the rest of the world when he came to the Philadelphia Wedding-sponsored grand opening of the Elizabeth Johns bridal salon in Ardmore last fall. And furthermore, I will not waste this opportunity to share the resulting snapshot, yet again.)

Well he popped by HuffPo recently to talk all things wedding dresses, including the trends he’s seeing right now in the industry. And so I share this not because I think he’s dropping some major info bombs, here—but because he really drives home the point that I am always preaching to brides: that they should not worry about trends and what’s in, and that they should just wear what they love; what makes them feel beautiful. That is worlds and planets more important that what is “cool” at the moment.
