On Saturday, November 12, 2011, the National Museum of American Jewish History held a gala at its new building on Independence Mall. The party highlighted events and accomplishments made in the museum's first year. Guests viewed birthday wishes sent from Bill Clinton, Joan Rivers, Diane von Furstenberg, World B. Free and the Phillies Phanatic. The menu was designed by culinary masters Stephen Starr, Michael Schulson, Steve Poses, Michael Solomonov, Dianiel Stern, Audrey Claire Tachman and Marc Vetri.
