Thousands of bikes are stolen in Philadelphia each year, and police say that this guy is responsible for at least one of them.

The Philadelphia Police Department has released surveillance video of the suspect in a bike theft that occurred in South Philadelphia in broad daylight. Police say that the man seen here stole a bike from the 1300 block of South 10th Street, outside of the popular Triangle Tavern.

The theft occurred on October 8th at 2:40 p.m. According to police, he cut the chain and lock with bolt cutters and then walked away to see if he raised anyone’s suspicion. Then he comes back, mounts the bike, and rides off.

Police describe him as follows: “Hispanic male, 30 years-of-age, thin build, medium complected, short dark colored hair, wearing a white short sleeve shirt, dark colored pants, and light colored sneakers.”

The bike is a Giant steel-colored hybrid.
