New Jersey Dog Summoned for Jury Duty

There's a TV show about a dog with a blog. Why not a dog on jury duty?

CBS 3’s Todd Quinones has this paw-raising report about a South Jersey dog that was summoned for jury duty.

The Griner family of Bridgeton, N.J., received a summons addressed to an IV Griner. That’s their dog’s name (pronounced “Ivy”).

It’s all pretty simple, of course: Barrett Griner IV (as in, “the fourth”) was supposed to be summoned to jury duty, but somehow the county confused his suffix with his first name. Okay, wait, that’s not very simple. How did that happen?

“IV is certainly no fan of our camera and likely is even a less fan of jury duty,” Quinones reports.
