The Dark Knight Rises Screening Canceled After Guy Uses Emergency Exit

About 100 people were evacuated from a movie theater at a Jersey multiplex after one of the moviegoers saw a man use an emergency exit. A caller at the Bergen County theater told police that approximately an hour and a half into The Dark Knight Rises, a man got up and walked to the emergency exit. The caller said that he opened the door, had a conversation with someone outside, and then returned to his seat. Police showed up and asked the guy that opened the door to step forward. When no one fessed up, the manager of the multiplex canceled the rest of the show and refunded everyone’s money. This happened just four days after the deadly shooting at the midnight show in Aurora.
