Entrepreneurs and friends Bill Van Gilder and Jeff Mattes are behind this first ever East Coast location of Wahoo’s Tacos.

Wahoo’s is located in the corner of the Left Bank building in the former home of Mikey’s Sports Bar. The 3,200 square foot location is decorated with surf and snow boards, bikes, skis and other outdoor sports memorabilia. The bar area features a 570-piece “Art of the Board” tile mosaic that includes recycled and broken skateboarding decks. Outside, VOLCOM muralist Eric Gordon has created a Philadelphia inspired piece of artwork.

Look for Wahoo’s to offer events, programming and special access to skating, surfing, snowboarding and skiing athletes and businesses.
