Tonight is Johnny Brenda’s annual Sixpoint bash. Top Ten with Sixpoint brings ten beers from the Brooklyn brewery to Philadelphia including some rarities. And at 6 p.m. a surprise Sixpoint firkin will be tapped at 6 p.m. Sixpoint rep Jersey Dan will be in the house and spinning vinyl all night.

    Hey JB, you pour Dogfish and Sixpoint, both of which are farther away than Brooklyn brrewery. What gives? I just want to enjoy the occasional lager or chocolate stout at my favorite bar.

    DFH brews in Milton, DE which is 42 miles from JB’s…their pub is in Rehobeth Beach (112 miles) which may have you thinking they are further away. As for Sixpoint, not sure what to tell ya…they make great beer and are 95.5 miles from JB’s, Brooklyn Brewery is 101 miles. Maybe its the “Local is 100 miles” definition which has become a standard as defined by Whole Foods Markets? Their menu blackboards all clearly states “Local Draft Beer”…
