Eagles Sign TE Evan Moore

The Eagles have filled their open roster spot by signing veteran tight end Evan Moore.

Moore (6-6, 250) was released earlier this week by the Seahawks. He played 104 snaps in 14 games, per Pro Football Focus, and managed one catch for 6 yards on six targets. Moore spent three seasons (2009-2011) with the Browns. His best year statistically came in 2011 (34 catches, 324 yards, four touchdowns).

Moore played his college ball at Stanford where he totaled 103 receptions for 1,555 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Brent Celek will return to the lineup for the Eagles on Sunday after having missed last week’s game with a concussion. Clay Harbor suffered a back injury against the Bengals and was placed on injured reserve. Emil Igwenagu can also play tight end, but he might also be needed at fullback after Stanley Havili injured his hamstring.
