Gambling Notes: The Odds Of Vick Getting Benched

Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick.The crew over at Bovada has put odds out on the possibility of Michael Vick getting benched this year for a non-injury-related reason.

Here’s exactly how they word it: Will Michael Vick be pulled from a game when losing or not start a game in the 2012 Regular Season? (Non-injury related)

Yes (-250
)
No (+175)

In other words, they see a Nick Foles appearance as a distinct possibility. If you think there’s no way that Vick gets benched, you can bet $100 to win $175.

Meanwhile, the Eagles’ Super Bowl odds took a nose-dive after last week’s loss, from 12/1 to 22/1. In the NFC, the 49ers (6/1), Packers (17/2), Falcons (9/1) and Giants (18/1) have better odds. The Bears are tied with the Eagles at 22/1.

As for this week, the Eagles are down to 1-point favorites. According to SportsInsights.com, 78 percent of the action is on the Giants. The over/under is at 47.5.

And finally, any self-respecting gambler has to take the action on this one: How many times will the live on air announcers mention Ed Hochuli’s biceps during the broadcast in the game he refs Week 4?

Over 1 (EVEN)
Under 1 (-140)

Take the over, and thank me later.
