Crash Closes Vine Street Expressway in Center City
Update: I-676 has reopened.

A car crash this morning turned what is usually a light rush hour into a slog this morning. A crash around 5 a.m. closed I-676 in Center City in both directions.

Apparently, a truck is sitting on the barrier at the split where I-676 ends and sends drivers onto I-76.
Crews are still working to clear the truck. I-676 is closed near the Parkway, and is backed up as a result throughout. If you’re headed to I-676 Westbound from I-95, it’s best to get off at Callowhill and take surface streets.
