Eagles Notes: Peters, Ryans Held Out Again

With three days until the Eagles face the Cowboys on Sunday night, Jason Peters remained sidelined during the Eagles’ practice Thursday.

Peters left in the first quarter of the Birds’ Week 8 loss to Carolina with back spasms, and hasn’t participated in practice this week after taking the bye week off.

If Peters doesn’t go, it seems Lane Johnson would likely be the team’s starting left tackle in Peters’ place.

Thursday, Chip Kelly wasn’t ready to rule Peters out just yet.

“We’ll determine that after we get through the week of training,” Kelly said.

“[Peters] is working on his rehab. We’ll see where he is.”

Kelly said Johnson took a “couple of reps” at left tackle in Wednesday’s practice.

Asked about the difference between left tackle and right tackle, Kelly said he thinks they’re still notably different positions, including “stance, the pass rushers you’re going to face, and the ability to operate your feet in a different manner.”

DeMeco Ryans was also sidelined during practice once again.
