As if there wasn’t enough quarterback news this week…

Rob Rang of CBS Sports reports that the Eagles held a private workout and had a film session with UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley Wednesday, the same day that Sam Bradford was introduced to the Philly media.

Hundley (6-3, 226) met with Eagles quarterbacks coach Ryan Day at the combine. Speaking with reporters in Indianapolis that week he said that the Eagles’ system most closely resembles the one he ran at UCLA, and noted that he was recruited by Chip Kelly coming out of high school.

“He’s great,” said Hundley of Kelly. “Great individual, great man, love him to death.”

Hundley completed 69 percent of his throws this past season for 3,155 yards and tossed 22 touchdowns to five interceptions. He also ran for 644 yards and 10 scores.

Some analysts project that Hundley will be selected in the second round. The Eagles will be checking out a number of prospects between now and the draft, so too much shouldn’t be read into this. Having said that, Kelly values efficiency and wouldn’t be spending extra time on a player if he wasn’t at least a little curious.
