Remember when we told you guys about this Crock-Pot trick to make dump meals (unfortunate name, we know), slow-cooker meals that are prepped beforehand so when you’re ready to eat them, you just dump them in the Crock-Pot? Well, my busy friends, it just came to our attention that there’s a local company, What a Crock Meals to Go, that will do ALL of the prep legwork for you so all you have to do is dump the meal in the Crock-Pot come dinner-making time. In other words, they’re making every busy person’s dreams come true.

The company, started in 2013 by a couple of busy parents in Ridley who were looking for a way to chow down on healthy meals without investing tons of time, slings a very long list of prepackaged slow-cooker meals ranging from the health-conscious (hi, portobello mushroom quinoa, vegetable chickpea curry and fresh-squeezed lemon chicken) to the indulgent (french toast bread pudding!!). They also offer soups and sides, like squash and zucchini medley, and mashed cauliflower. And get this, beach bums: During the summer, they sell Shore packs; you choose two entrees, two sides and an appetizer or dessert so you’re set for meals for the weekend.

If you’re sitting at your computer, tears in your eyes, wondering why you didn’t come up with this genius business idea, I am so with you.

What a Crock Meals to Go already has two locations, one in Brookhaven and one in Garnet Valley, and they’re holding the grand opening for their third location, at the Market at the Fareway in Chestnut Hill, this Thursday. So now you know where to go to stock your freezer so you never, ever have to chop a single veggie for dinner ever again. (You’re welcome.)
