Good news, AAA members: Next time you head out for a long bike ride on your own, no need to fear that you’ll get a flat tire and be stranded in the middle of nowhere with no one to call, thinking to yourself, Oh man, this is how horror movies start. In a press release today, AAA announced they’ve added bicycle roadside assistance to Basic, Plus and Premier AAA Mid-Atlantic memberships, at no extra cost. Awesome, right?

Here’s the deal: If for whatever reason (aside from fatigue) getting your bike from point A to point B becomes a problem mid-ride, you can give AAA a ring and they’ll send out someone to transport you and your bicycle to a safe location, like a bike shop or your home. You just have to be able to get to a road to be picked up, and just like that: Horror movie plot line avoided.

The bike coverage comes along with existing AAA memberships, but isn’t available on its own as of now. You can find out more about it here.
