Looking for something to do on Valentine’s Day that doesn’t involve going on a blind date with your roommate’s boyfriend’s college drinking buddy, who, at least according to all the keg-stand photos on his Facebook page, appears desperately to be trying to recapture his college glory days, one Budweiser at a time?

Well. Make a date with Philadelphia Runner’s Valentine’s Day Singles Run instead, a muuuuuch safer bet that’ll include a three-mile fun run in Center City and an after-party at Ladder 15. The nice thing about this run is that the smart folks at PR try to keep the male-to-female ratio even. Meaning? You have a pretty solid chance of meeting someone you might actually have fun on a date with. And if not, hey, you got a three-mile run out of it. Count it.

The $30 entry fee includes the guided run, bag check at PR, two drinks at Ladder 15, food, and a T-shirt.  Sign up (there are only a few female spots left!) right here.

$30, February 14th from 6 to 10 p.m., meet at Philadelphia Runner, 1601 Sansom Street, Center City.
