Montgomery School

Type: Day
Gender: Coed

Montgomery School is an independent co-ed day school for children in grades Pre-K–8, located in the heart of Chester Springs. Their commitment to elementary education reflects an understanding that lifelong growth and success is directly related to the educational foundations that are established in a child’s formative years. Montgomery School prides itself in the deep relationships between teachers and students that help children learn with confidence as they build essential independent habits of mind. A serene 60-acre campus provides an expansive and safe oasis, on which students have room to stretch both literally and figuratively.

What is your teaching or educational philosophy?

Montgomery School has a singular focus: launching children’s educational journeys and shepherding their progress through eighth grade. These foundational years are when children’s learning habits are formed, when their nascent social skills are practiced and honed, when the potential for future success is unleashed. Montgomery School’s program, community, and campus are all purposefully designed around the developmental needs of early childhood and early adolescence. No competing priorities; everything we do is to lift up students in grades Pre-K through eight and make sure their school experience starts out right, right from the start.

What is your mission statement?

Montgomery School ignites each child’s love of learning and fosters their individual talents during the most formative years in order to prepare them for future success.
